How to Face First Interview in IT Company.

Today I will discuss about how to face first interview in IT Company. If you are confused about facing an interview, then you should try to look at it as an opportunity to make an improvement in your life. If you do your research and answer the questions you are asked with confidence, then you will be on your way to landing the job of your dreams. First thing you need to do is to go thorough research about the company and the position for which you are being called for the interview. During Interview there is also a situation, where you are under through examination as the company is going to invest in you and expect you to be a productive asset for the employer in the coming months. Hence your communication skills, body language, behavior and overall personality should reflect a minimum level of confidence. Suppose if your resume get shortlisted and you get call from firm then you need to be very confident as interviewer only asks questions what you put in CV and main thing they are looking for your confidence level and body language so when you are going to face your first interview you should be confident. In IT Organization if you put any language in your CV interviewer will ask questions from that topics only not beyond that and if you are not sure about answer please say no and try to get some output from interviewer itself as the interviewer should get the impression that you are a candidate who is not only looking for job but also an intelligent, resourceful and has prepared well to suit the requirements for the position.
Below are some tips when you are going to face interview first time in any IT organization.
Technical Round :
Interviewer will start with basics questions and when you start giving answers they will go further and ask some logical queries as well as commands which is used on daily basis. Also they will ask some programming questions on PL/SQL to see the logic of candidate. Same is applicable for other languages like C , C++ , Java etc as they need logic from your end , but they are not going to ask about all the languages they will focus on one language only and ask questions from that topic only if you put some secondary things apart from any language like operating system Unix they might ask you some basic command of Unix.
Some useful Tips for Technical Interview:
· You need to very clear what is your objective, Like If you are technically strong in any technologies like Java, Oracle , C ,C++ etc . Make sure what you put in your resume you should be comfortable to give answers. Because you can’t put all programming language in CV as company need expert in any one of the technology with operating system like Unix/Linux knowledge . Assume in your CV you mention your technology Oracle with unix , Interviewer will ask questions related to Oracle and Unix only not much questions from other technology but if you mention Java and other technology in secondary option they might ask you some basic questions. But if you are good in your Primary skills then easily you can crack your interview.
· Most important thing During Technical Round is that if you are not aware about any question during interview, Don’t try to give wrong answer or something else , Just tell interviewer that I am not aware about this and be confident and think about next questions and try to explain in better ways to impress the recruiter . Technical round is one of the interview process which decides whether you are eligible to get that job or not. So before entering to interview a candidate must check out these. In Interview Soft Skills/Communication Skill play an important role as you may technically sound, but if are weak in soft skills you will have lesser chance get job because if you are not able to understand the questions then how will you give the correct answer . So Before interview make some practice and improve your soft skill.
· If you impressed Recruiter during your Technical interview , more chance you will get the job . Technical round can be 1-3 round but for fresher only 1 round is enough. Also if technical round will go more than hour or 45 minutes it means recruiter are impressed with your technical skills and they will ask you if you have any question, Here you can ask any questions related to company projects and technology and be confident as it will give you positive feedback.
· Final Round : Final Round is HR round as in HR round they will not ask you any technical questions as they already received the feedback from Technical Panel . They will ask you behavioral questions like tell me something about yourself, your strength , weakness etc. In this round HR will check your soft skills, qualification and body language . So be confident as you already clear your technical round and try to give all the answers in proper way.
Finally I want to say Cracking the job interview and getting that job can be stressful, but with the proper preparation, information and guidance you can feel confident and perform better in Interview. So practice as much as you can as practice makes you perfect.
